Her er en ny rapport fra Baffin Babes på 68.4826N,67.5117W:
"Finally we got our skiis on and we are on the go. We ski upon the frozen sea ice, with dramatic fiords to the west and the frozen sea horizon to the east. Its beautiful and it feels great to be here.
The sun is warming our faces during the day but the temperatures are cold, and we all struggle a bit with the cold, doing leg kicks every now and then to get warmth in our feet.
We been skiing for thtee days, making progress as we plan with short distances in the beginning, 5-10 km a day. The dogs, Ano and Buck, are strong and are pulling good. And so are the babes, eventhough the sleds are heavy! Pulling in the cold snow akmost eels like pulling in sandpaper. Now we are finishing off breakfast getting ready for our fourth day!"
